Kokum butter is a firm, plant-based butter derived from the seeds of the Garcinia indica tree, native to India. It’s prized for its rich concentration of essential fatty acids, antioxidant properties, and its ability to deeply moisturize without feeling greasy.

At Lachenbock Farm, we use kokum butter in soaps and lotions where we want a hard bar, a creamy lather, and skin-soothing benefits — especially in formulations for sensitive, dry, or irritated skin. Naturally stable and non-comedogenic, it absorbs easily and supports a healthy skin barrier without clogging pores.
